Jessie Macbeth - Iraq War Veteran Tells It Like It Is

Jessie Macbeth, a former U.S. Army Ranger, speaks on what he witnessed in Iraq. This is a twenty minute video.

"She was begging me, begging me to save her and to save her kids, but, I didn't you know. I wanted to be , ah, I killed them. You know?"

File is available in .wmv or .mov format and this is a link you may want to forward to others.

[ This is bogus! I'm leaving it up here anyways. ]

The Left has an interesting way of exposing lies.

I would love to read more on how Macbeth's been exposed as a fraud. If you have a link to post here in the comments please do.

Scott,

Here are a few of the links you request:

http://www.ivaw.net/
This is the Iraq Veterans Against the War site that has disavowed him.

This is the guy who originally "broke" the story.

Admittedly, this is a somewhat partisan site. That does not, however, mean they don't have the facts to back them up.

Additionally, I am an Army Ranger. I can spot this guy as an obvious fraud. Would you like details?

Thanks for the links. I will check them out. There's so much disinformation floating around, on both "sides" of issues, it gets hard to try to find little bits of truths. Sounds like I "got gamed" by a fraud.

Watching the video, I couldn't really tell. I only really had a problem with one little part of the video, where he said that his unit had taken up positions inside a mosque late at night to murder civilians that entered it for late night prayers. That smelled wrong to me.

I've noticed that some sites are mentioning uniform errors with regards to this guy. Is this how you're spotting him as an obvious fraud? Feel free to give some details if you'd like.

Scott,

The uniform is but one thing. However, here are the uniform violations(as gathered from the "official" portrait on his wall):
1. His beret is folded left(we fold ours to the right).
2. The flash(patch on beret) is not from 75th Rgr Rgt, but from 1st Special Forces Group.
3. There is no unit crest on the flash(pin on insignia to further identify unit).
4. Sleeves are folded with inside showing outside. That's a Marine roll, not Army.
5. Is wearing a black t-shirt. Only Air Force uses black t-shirt - ours in the Army are olive.
6. He's only an E4 in rank. It is virtually automatic for someone in the 75th to get promoted to E5 when he completes Ranger School.

On his content:
1. Says he was "selected" to be a Ranger. Not true - one must volunteer for the Rangers.
2. Says he spent 16 months in country. Rangers never spend more than three continuous months in a theater. Also, says he was brought back after being wounded around either November 03 or April 04(unclear - he jumps around a lot). Not possible since there were only 13 elapsed months between March 03 and April 04.
3. Says he was in Fallujah. Not possible. On the day of the Marines going into Fallujah, 3-75 was back at Ft. Benning receiving a streamer(unit citation) for their guidon(unit flag).
4. Says they went through Osan, Korea before going to Kuwait. There are no Rangers in Osan. 3-75 is at Ft. Benning. Just to make sure, I called a few friends of mine with 3-75. They flew straight to theater from Benning.
5. No Geneva Convention briefing. Everyone got about 4-6 hours of training in Kuwait before going to Iraq.
6. His bio on military.com(which anyone can join w/o proof of service) says he got both the CAB and CIB. Not possible - CAB was created for non-infantry combat. You can get one or the other, depending on whether you were in the Infantry or not, but you can't have both.

I hope this clarifies things.
