Thank you so much, Scott, for the nice words and link to my blog.

I don't know if you've heard about it, but for the past couple months we've had a Six Nations blockade at a construction site near Caledonia, Ontario. Henco Industries started to develop the land for a new subdivision (Douglas Creek Estates) on land that belongs to the Six Nations People, who've blockaded the entrance to the tract at the end of February.

However, just after Easter (April 20) the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) stormed the peaceful protesters, and tried to physically remove them. Native protesters were pepper-sprayed and tasered, and a few were taken to jail.

There was a media blackout about the whole protest, however I was writing about it on my blog, and then a few other bloggers did too, so the government had no choice but to let the media in, after the OPP raid.

However, you know how the mainstream media are, they don't report the truth.

Since the April 20 raid, the Native protesters had put up several blockades, the main one blocking off a small highway. This was done out of necessity to keep the cops and belligerent Caledonia residents out.

The Ontario government knows that the land they sold to Henco was not theirs to sell, that it belongs to the Six Nations People. It was deeded to them by the British Crown way back in 17-- (forgot the exact date).

Negotiations have been ongoing, but the government has tried to do this in their duplicitous, double-dealing way. They don't realise that they can no longer "keep the Indians happy with a few trinkets and steal their land". The plight of the Six Nations people -- and also all of our Indigenous First Nations Peoples -- are now on the world stage, for all to see.

The situation got from bad to much worse over our past long weekend, May 22, with terrible clashes between thugs and Native protesters. Things got really ugly. Someone sabotaged a power-line, so the whole area was without electricity, which exacerbated the situtation.

I am in constant contact with the Six Nations protesters, and receive updated information which is not reported by the MSM.

I was out at the protest site on Easter Sunday. You can read about it by doing a site search on my blog for the article "Easter Sunday in Caledonia" (I think that's the title). You can also search for the photos I posted a week or so after, where you will see a bit of the site. Sorry, I don't have the link handy here for that either...

Just tonight, I posted a few more updates about the situation there.

I just wanted to let you know about this.

Take care and keep up the great work you are doing in spreading the truth. I will be putting in a link to your site too!

best regards,
Annamarie in Canada

(PS. Please excuse any typos or grammatical errors now, as I don't have time to proofread this. It's late and I must get to bed.)
