Who Killed Bambi?

Okay. Probably everyone's already read about the guy in Wisconsin that was found guilty for stuffing a deer in an inappropriate manner. Yes, he shot a deer then had sex with it. (My guess is while it was still warm too. Unless he was even sicker than I can imagine, and I can imagine pretty sick.). Yes this sick puppy is in trouble and hopefully he will get the help that he needs.

And now he got that Sex Pistols song stuck in my head.

dang.

Victory Is Not An Option

Follow the link above to listen to a Cato Institute podcast where former DIRNSA Lt. Gen William Odom (Ret.) comments on the current situation in Iraq and draws parallels to the VietNam conflict. His words are insightful I feel. Podcast is just under 8 minutes in length. Worth checking out.

Southern Ocean Woes

Blackwater

Man! It's been a long time since I've updated this site. Sorry.

Heard an interesting interview on the radio on NPR the other day. The interview was with Jeremy Scahill about his recent book about Blackwater. You can also read a good article about the book over at Alternet. In this book, Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army, Scahill talks about the origins and how it has grown over the last few years. I hope my local library gets a copy of this soon.
