Domestic Call Monitoring Started Before 9/11

Bloomberg News released a piece late last week reporting that the program to monitor domestic phone calls was being set up months before the United States suffered the terrible terrorist attack on September 11th. Thanks to Evan at Alternet for posting this one check it out here.

"The U.S. National Security Agency asked AT&T Inc. to help it set up a domestic call monitoring site seven months before the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, lawyers claimed June 23 in court papers filed in New York federal court."

So many lies.
Impeach!

I am sorry, but this story just begs for the sleeping conspiracy theorist in me to respond.

Is it possible that this administration is so bent on destroying our democracy and consolidating Presidential powers, that they were behind the 9/11 attacks?

Remember, he sat there for several minutes and did nothing when told we were under attack. Was that a moment he took for himself to wallow in his success?

Remember, that they have disbanded the CIA organization charged with finding Osa Bin Forgotten? I thought he was bad guy priority number one?

I don't know if it is possible that our own government would do this to her citizens, and hope for God's sake that it's not possible; but one must ask the question.

You're not the only person wondering that.

Well my opinion is that they needed "a Pearl Harbor" type of incident to galvanize the public to support moving into the mid-east to secure the oil in preparations for expansion in that area. I think it was all planned by those who pull the strings (oil interests mainly, and the neo-cons who envision a New American Century global-domination future), though I don't think that they believed it would be as bad as it ended up [that is that the towers would fall]. I think that those who wanted this could easily have rationalized their doubts by convincing themselves that the ends justified the means.

When you think of all the things that have changed under the guise of safety and the war on terrorism, it makes you feel like your country's had a coup. Actually I think we have.
